Obituary

 

Kathleen M. Stranger, age 60 of Lowman, NY, died Sunday evening, October 2nd, 2022, after a strong-willed fight with cancer. Kathy was born in Elmira, NY, on September 12th, 1962, to the late Benjamin L. and Margaret C. Flynn. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings: Bryan Flynn, Colleen Flynn, Eileen Flynn, and Patrick Flynn. Kathy is survived by her loving and supportive husband of over 24 years, Robert E. Stranger; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn M. and Heather Flynn, of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin P. and Darlene Flynn, of The Villages, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Maureen M. and Edward Butler, of Elmira; granddaughter, Azlynn Flynn; and many special nieces and nephews. She was a 26-year-long member of the American Legion Harry Bentley Post #443, Elmira. Kathy was a strong-minded, loving, witty, hard-working, vibrant woman with a golden smile who loved to laugh, but most importantly, loved her family dearly. Memorial donations in Kathy’s name may be made to: the American Legion Harry Bentley Post #443, 316 Lake St., Elmira, NY 14901.
