Rowena J. (Rosie) Bennett Campbell Elmira - Rowena J. (Rosie) Bennett Campbell, 84 of Elmira, NY passed away February 24, 2022 at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY. She was born to the late Reverend Arthur and Geneva Bennett on July 1, 1937 in Rome, Pa. Rosie graduated from Southside High School in 1955. She worked as a bookkeeper at John H. Cook, Jr. Painting Contractors from 1986 until her retirement in 2001. She was employed at St. Joseph's hospital as an office manager and also volunteered after retirement. Rosie is survived by her life partner John (Jack) R. Sincock, Jr. and they lived together in Elmira for forty years. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Shoe of Jamestown, NC and her children Tara (Tim) Ewald, Des (Guy) Porritt, Jordan Shoe and Dillon Shoe; Richard (Debbie) Campbell of Thomasville, NC and their children, Derrick Campbell and Austin Campbell; Victoria (Gary) Bushey of Winter Springs, Fl and their children, Katlyn Bushey, Sara (Nick) Vinson and Alex Bushey. She has five great grandchildren: Adelaide, Graydon and Emilia Ewald, Jude Porritt and Isabella Vinson. Jack's children: Daniel (Ann) Sincock and their children, Mackenzie (Lexi) and Danielle; Michael (Sharri) Sincock and their children, Elizabeth (Nick), John Michael, Jason and Ashlee; James (Michella) Sincock and their children, Perry, Brayden and Paytn; Ann (Bernie) Senger and their children, Bernie Jr, Ryan and Alex. Jack has two great grandchildren, Stella and Noah. Rosie is survived by sisters, Blanch Carlin and Evelyn Altilio along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Rosie loved feeding the wildlife that congregated in her backyard; especially the birds, planting flowers, playing games on her Ipad with her many friends and watching Carolina basketball. We will all miss her immensely. Cremation arrangements by Baker Family Funeral Home in Elmira, NY. The internment of ashes will be at a later date.
